Akin Laosun was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is the fourth of six children. His late father was a farmer. His mother is a retired secondary school principal and still the proprietress of a private primary/secondary school in Ibadan, Nigeria. Akin was brought up and educated in Ibadan where he graduated from the University of Ibadan with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. In addition to his degree, vocational and professional studies, he has a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration and Postgraduate Diploma in Christian Thought and Practices.
